Explore the majestic La Plata Mountains and Canyon near Durango, Colorado at some of the canyon’s most scenic and beautiful waterfalls. Then hit the river for another splash of adventure. This is a mild and scenic tour that is fun for the entire family.

About the tour: This is a great option for folks who do not want to do the longer half-day tour. This trip showcases 3 unique waterfalls, including our private waterfall, for photo opportunities. The exclusive waterfall stop is on private property accessible only to Durango Rivertrippers & Adventure Tours. We take you up close to a stunning 25-30 foot waterfall with old mining structures scattered around the base. The tour culminates at a stop 10,000 feet above sea level to take in the views. This is an amazing adventure for the entire family. All ages are welcome on this trip, however, car seats are not provided. NOTE: This tour does not go up to the top of Kennebec Pass.

Finish your afternoon on the Animas River with whitewater rafting through the heart of Durango, Colorado. Enjoy the scenery as your experienced guide navigates you down the river and through the smelter whitewater park with class I-III rapids.
