Gold King Mine

On August 6th 2015, the Animas River closed due to the EPA triggering the release of acid mine water into Cement Creek, a tributary to the Animas River in Silverton, CO. Many images were taken of a river that should have been clear that time of year and was instead running a mustard yellow color….

Early Season Snowpack

It’s December 22, 2015 and so far this winter is shaping up to be a great one.  About 8″ of fresh snow last night with 15″ in the last 72 hours. Current base at Purgatory Resort is 42″. Possibly 2-4 feet more on the way this week!  We will keep you posted.

2015 End of Season

We are done running trips for the 2015 season.  It was a great year of whitewater!  We would like to thank everyone who joined us for a trip this summer.  Please come back and visit next year.
